P90X – Days 1 & 2

Well days 1 & 2 are in the bag and wow am I sore. Day 1 was chest, back & ab ripper x and Day 2 was plyometrics. So far everyone I know who is doing this hates plyometrics and everyone told me how sore I would be but I actually had fun doing it and since I have so much lower body strength from hockey, cycling, snowboarding, skateboarding etc. I’m not really that sore at all in my legs, it’s my chest that is killing me (2 days later) from all the push up/pull up routines, I really need to improve my upper body strength.

I’ve been doing really good with the nutrition part of the problem in the aspect of controlling my protein, carb, fat ratio but for the life of me I can’t get remotely close to the calorie intake they recommend & I’m even doing a tier down than they recommended for my weight just because i barely fell into the 3rd tier and they is just a massive amount of calories.

I took before pictures and will be taking pictures every 3 days, which means I’ll do one tonight, and I’ll start posting those after a month or so to show progress. Everyone says “stay off the scale” but when you’re doing something like this and your main objective is to lose weight it’s really hard not to, so this morning I checked it out and to my pleasure I’ve lost a few pounds already.

Tonight is shoulders, arms & ab ripper x and I’m sure that will be a bag of fun with how sore i still am in my chest. I will probably do another batch update in a couple days, I’m gonna try and keep it to every 2 or 3 days.

Also if anybody is interested I’m logging my daily nutrition here: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/food/diary/ianrees

Hey, I love plyo. It’s just hard as hell!

Sarah and I were talking about it, and one thing I’d recommend with the nulaid egg subs is over-cooking them. Really getting them dark and less slimy. Try that and let me know. Dont be afraid to spice em up and use some salsa too!
