P90X - Day 3 Arms & Shoulders

Last night was arms & shoulders and I don’t really have much to say other than it was the easiest and definately most boring of the workouts so far, for the most part it was just a bunch of curls (which i swaped out weights and used resistance bands instead). Yesterday when I was saying I wasn’t really that sore from Plyometrics…. scratch that, can barely walk today and walking up the stairs to my office (which I go up and down mutliple times a day) is horrible. Yoga is tonight and am kind of looking forward to that.

I’ll check back in tomorrow.

P90X - Days 1 & 2

Well days 1 & 2 are in the bag and wow am I sore. Day 1 was chest, back & ab ripper x and Day 2 was plyometrics. So far everyone I know who is doing this hates plyometrics and everyone told me how sore I would be but I actually had fun doing it [...]

3 day weekend recap

I’ve never been a fan of 3 day weekends cause I always feel antsy come Monday when I’m sitting at home not doing anything, but I definitely needed the 3rd day this weekend. On Friday I went out and visited Jason & Kelly and went to our usual spot Bar 107 and then watched Role [...]

If the horse won’t drink, drown him in the water

I don’t really have much to say but i feel the need to post a blog so im gonna force out some dribble that probably won’t matter to anyone. It’s May and that means a very exciting time of the year for me, PLAYOFF HOCKEY! Anybody who knows me knows how much of a avid [...]

It begins: Day 1 of workout regiment + goals

Today I started my self imposed workout regiment with a 31 mile bike ride and boy am I sore. I was going to try to play hockey tonight but I don’t think that’s gonna happen. I have found that if I write out my plans/goals for things i tend to stick to them better, so [...]

Viva la taco trucks

One of the things i love about living in LA is the taco trucks. ALOT of people i know wont eat from one in fear of getting sick but no matter how much i try to convince them that they are the best mexican food you will ever have they don’t believe me, oh well [...]

Hope Rides Again

Yesterday near my work in Hermosa Beach people from the Livestrong movement were doing a really cool sidewalk chalk illustration and handing out boxes of yellow chalk encouraging people to write or draw a statement of intent, encouragement & inspiration for friends & loved ones fighting a battle with cancer & then take a picture [...]

Scene Royalty?

I was looking at some stats for the site today and noticed one of the top searches is “Ian Monsta” so i figured i’d google it and see what came up, nothing spectacular mostly blog and message board posts where i use that name but one link stood out.

Against The Grain

One of the things i’ve been meaning to do for a while is document freelance projects a little more. So we’ll start off with this quick business card my buddy Charlie needed. He pretty much gave me a rough draft and just needed it cleaned up, nothing spectacular but it’s a clean design and exactly [...]

What don’t you fucking understand?

Recently some audio popped up on the internet of Christian Bale flipping out on a lighting guy on the set of the new Terminator movie he filmed recently. To say the least he comes off as a HUGE prick. Anyways a Los Angeles producer by the name of RevoLucian remixed some of the audio and [...]
